Before doing so, you need to gather a cotton bud or a special ‘cleaning stick’ (which is basically a posh cotton bud), some rubbing alcohol, and a clean cloth. A flat surface of some description would be useful, also.

How to Clean Your Heated Tobacco Device: Step-by-Step

1. Turn off the Device: Always ensure your device is turned off and completely cool before you begin the cleaning process. This is for your safety and to protect the device’s components.
2. Disassemble the Device: Carefully take apart your heated tobacco device, if possible. Remove the mouthpiece, heating chamber, and any other removable components according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
3. Remove Debris: Use a dry cotton bud or a soft-bristled brush to gently remove any loose tobacco residue or debris from the heating chamber and other parts of the device. Again, be gentle to avoid damaging any heating elements.
4. Clean with Cotton Buds: Dip a new cotton bud or cleaning stick in isopropyl alcohol. Wring out excess alcohol to avoid any dripping. Carefully clean the inside of the chamber, focusing on any areas with built-up residue. Do not saturate the device!
5. Wipe Down the Components: Use a clean, alcohol-dampened cloth to wipe the exterior parts of the device and any non-electrical components. For electrical connections, use a dry cloth or a cotton bud to remove dust and buildup.
6. Air Dry: Allow all parts to air dry completely on a clean, flat surface. Ensure all alcohol has evaporated before reassembling the device to avoid any risk of ignition.
7. Reassemble the Device: Once all the components are dry, reassemble your device according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Make sure all parts are secure and correctly aligned.
8. Perform a Check: Turn on the device to ensure it heats properly and functions smoothly. If you notice any irregular performance, double-check if all parts are clean and correctly assembled.

Simply remove the top (or head) of the device, and slide the stick holder upwards to reveal the special heating blade, then carefully clean with alcohol.
